Using our Shopping Basket

Our shopping basket acts very much like a physical shopping cart. As you browse through our products, you can add articles to your cart as you go. You can view what is in your shopping basket at any time by clicking the “View items in basket” button, or by clicking on “Checkout” near the top of the page.

Remember that browsing our marketplace, putting items into your shopping basket and viewing your shopping basket is exactly like browsing in a real store. It does not mean that you have actually purchased anything yet. We’ll tell you more about completing the actual purchase a bit further down this page.

Changing or deleting items in your Shopping Basket

Choosing more than one item of the same product…

To select multiple items of the same product, simply modify your selection by:
1. viewing what is in your shopping basket (press “View items in basket” or click “Checkout” near the top of your screen)
2. when your basket items appear, use your mouse to place your cursor into the “Qty” box next to the product you would like to see changed
3. type in the number of units desired
4. press the “modify” button to the right of the quantity
Your product quantity should now be modified.

Deleting a product…

To delete items from your shopping cart, remove your selection by:
1. viewing what is in your shopping basket (press “View items in basket” or click “Checkout” near the top of your screen)
2. when your basket items appear, scroll down the list to the product you would like to remove
3. press the “delete” button to the far right of the product you would like to remove from your basket
Your product quantity should now be deleted and no longer appear in your shopping basket.

Oops – I deleted something by mistake?
No worries. Simply re-enter the Marketplace by clicking the Marketplace button near the top of the screen, and re-select the product. When you go back to the Checkout area, the product will reappear in your basket. Here you can modify the quantity using the instructions above.

Shipping Information & Charges
Before you proceed to the Checkout counter, you’ll need to know how much shipping will cost. We have a simple fee schedule that is based on the country or region where your shipment is travelling to, and on how many items you would like to purchase.

You’ll need to indicate the amount for shipping on your Shopping Basket form, before moving on to the Checkout Counter. Once you’ve entered the amount for shipping, the shopping basket will let you know exactly what the total amount is for your purchase. Our shipping policy is more fully described under Shipping Policies.

Proceeding to the Checkout Counter

As we’ve mentioned above, when you are browsing our marketplace and putting things into your shopping basket, you aren’t actually committing yourself to buy anything.

To complete your order & enable us to ship items to you, you’ll need to provide us with a bit more information. But before we do this, we’ll take you to a secure environment, courtesy of our agent Worldpay. (For more information about your security and privacy, please see our practices under Privacy Policies.)

Clicking the button “Continue to Checkout” will take you through to our secure server area. Here you will be asked to enter details such as your name, your full address, telephone number and credit card details. There will be instructions along the way to help you through this process.

Your order is finalised only when you click the “Place Your Order” button. And your credit card won’t be charged until your package is shipped to you.

Prices, Currency and Tax

All items priced on our site are in New Zealand dollars, and are inclusive of New Zealand goods and services tax.

If you are purchasing items from outside New Zealand, or delivering the goods outside New Zealand, Voodoo Tuesday shall not be responsible for any taxes, customs duties, levies or any other charges which might be assigned to your shipment by any other parties. (Please also see the Customs section in our Shipping Policies.)

For your convenience, we have provided a link to a currency converter. Note that it is for information only and is not intended for any other purpose.

Once you have proceeded through to the checkout area, our transaction settlement agent, Worldpay, allows you the freedom to make your purchase in one of 5 currencies – US dollars (USD), Australian dollars (AUD), New Zealand dollars (NZD), Pound Sterling (GBP) or Canadian dollars (CAD). Your credit card will be charged in the currency you select, for the amount indicated.
